Household imperfections or one of a kind interior design? (PART ONE)

Six nails in the wall inspired us to hang these random keys that the old tenants gifted to us. "Broke into the old apartment, this is where we used to live....why did you hang up all those keys? This is where we used to live. We want them back." is probably what they might sing if they ever came back for all their shit. You cannot have our keys, but you definitely can take all the rusty cleaning supplies, the box of crappy appliances, the leftover ugly paint, the mental hospital navy blue blinds, and all your germs that you left.

Random selection on the fridge or an icebox canvas of art? You decide. We all thought that Jesus had the whole world in his hands, but who knew it was really a flip flop? Check out the great photo of Jerry the dog in my parent's side yard. Rest in Peace Jer dog, he was such a good doggie. I think about him every time I am looking for frozen edamame or debating about the lemon sorbet.

My mother crocheted this yarn bag with hopes that I would use it when I spend mucho dinero at the farmer's market. Right now, it holds ugly plastic bags. Ewwww. How poop brown (opposite of green) of us. But check out the awesome canvas skeeda bag in the lower corner (only the uppermost handle is visible). The majority of the time, I do take these to the grocery stores. Buy your skeeda here: http://www.skeeda.com/

Cold, sun-less winter = dirt pots with no plant life inside. I have a few great pots that used to house basil, some random flowering thingys, and a few other green sprouts of life. Now, these pots sit under this table waiting for some life to live in their dirt pools. Until then...look at our great decorating style until the pots get filled with life: one empty wine bottle that we wanted to save, a random dirty dish towel, a dead spider plant that is barely trying to survive, and Kate's glass vase type holder thingy or whatever that is.

  1. I like your red wall and the crochet bag. The coffee table with the dead plants on it, not so much.
